Frequently asked questions
Is this converter official for admissions or immigration?
No. Results are estimated equivalencies. For official evaluation use WES, ECE, or another NACES member — and always check your target university’s table.
How does conversion work?
Every scale converts to a percentage pivot (0–100), then to the target scale via lookup bands or published formulas (e.g. India UGC CGPA × 9.5). Adding a country only needs a new scale config.
How does UK classification mapping work?
Common bands: 70+ First, 60–69 Upper Second (2:1), 50–59 Lower Second (2:2), 40–49 Third. O-Level/A-Level bands are approximate — exam boards set boundaries per session.
What about Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan?
Defaults follow HEC (Pakistan), UGC (India), common BD university/SSC–HSC tables, Nepal post-2016 CGPA (plus pre-2016 percentage), and an approximate Bhutan 4.0 map. Institutions may override — treat as editable defaults.
